Area 4 SEL Hub

The Area 4 SEL Hub understands schools continue to struggle with attendance, discipline, and teacher burnout. It’s not easy right now. Parents and students look to schools for answers. Area 4 Social-Emotional Learning Hub is ready to help! We offer assistance to educators, staff, and district leaders by providing the support and resources needed to be successful.

Our Area 4 SEL coaches can support:

  • Completing a needs assessment

  • Identifying strengths and areas for improvement

  • Creating, implementing, and supporting an action plan, which includes goals, resources, strategies, and targeted professional development

With the knowledge of the Area 4 Social-Emotional Learning Coaches, this grant-supported opportunity will provide you with the social-emotional supports that your staff and students need right now.

  • Upcoming sessions - for upcoming SEL coursework available through Macon-Piatt ROE.

  • Newsletter - monthly - (coming soon)!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Illinois State Board of Education, the Regional Offices in Illinois' Area 4 (9, 11, 17, 32, 39 & 54) are able to bring training and opportunities to the  teachers spread across the 18 counties of our Area.

CASEL defines SEL as the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.
