Testimonial from a recent graduate of the TeacherReady program: After learning of the Teacher Ready program through MPROE39 earlier this year, I researched the program and decided it was a good fit for my busy schedule to obtain my teaching license. The online advisors made the program easily manageable and I was able to be placed in the school district of my choice to do my observation/teaching hours. I am very happy that I took this leap to move from substitute teacher for the past 14 years to now be qualified as a full-time classroom teacher. - Tricia Queen To register for upcoming TeacherReady information meetings : https://bit.ly/3FZHEIM

Progressive Relaxation
Today leaders from our area school districts visited the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center and went through the Public Safety Training Foundation’s VirTra simulator. For a few moments, they experienced what it is like to walk in a police officer’s shoes and have to make split-second decisions. The different virtual training scenarios highlighted the intensity of the job and encouraged discussion and self-reflection. A special thank you to Cheryl Warner, Jill Reedy, Travis Frierich, Sheila Greenwood, Amanda Geary, and DeAnn Heck for being willing to go through this and Chelsey Keys and Rafael Gutierrez for hosting us and answering our many questions!
